Figure 6... to start the engine, short circuit contacts 1 and 2. Connect the reverse gear switch to contacts 3 and 4 (polarity does not matter).

Figure 8... to start the engine, short circuit contacts N and B. Connect the reverse gear switch to contacts RB and RL (polarity does not matter).
