About the project

JDMHelp is a non‑commercial project for owners of older JDM cars: guides, part cross‑references, and original manuals.

JDMHelp was created to help owners of older (and not only older) Japanese cars with maintenance and repairs. Here you can find technical notes, brochures, catalogs, photos, historical context, and practical repair tips.

Japanese manufacturers split their products by markets. The Japanese Domestic Market is called JDM. Other regions (USA, Canada, Europe, Australia and so on) have their own catalogs, trims, and model lines — so a Japan catalog often won’t fully cover European or US variants.

We focus primarily on JDM, but the site is useful for “export” cars too — especially when you need to compare parts, decode specs, or understand what differs between markets.

The project started as a way to gather and structure information for Toyota Mark II X40, but gradually grew into something bigger. Today it includes a catalog of cars, model pages with sections and tags, the General section, search by articles/tags, and a news feed.

The site supports two languages (Russian and English). Some materials may be translated later as the library grows.
