These clearances were chosen for 0.15/0.20. With clearances of 0.25/0.30 the motor was noisy at idle. Some set the clearances as per the manual at 0.28/0.35 and it runs quietly, but no matter what optimal rockers you choose there is always wear present and with factory clearances there will be knocking.
