The story began with unwrapping the cellophane!
When I unwrapped it, I realized that instead of a short box I received a long one!
I wrote to the seller and got an answer saying they sent me the wrong item along with other nonsensical nonsense! The seller offered me an exchange, but I didn't want to bother anymore! It would take too much time anyway, plus they might send some junk!

Decided to fix it myself since I couldn't find anywhere how to make a short box from a long one, only the opposite was available.

What I needed: A short gearbox; two nylon rings; welding bushing; metal piece 6mm thick; couple of bolts with round heads.

Cut off everything unnecessary from the gearbox housing

nylon rings for the ball in the gearbox

Next, drilled holes and tapped threads on both sides of this housing to prevent the gearbox from turning around (the gearbox has specially milled areas for that)

Then I had to disassemble the back part of the box! Needed to remove what I don't know how it's called (a metal piece where the gearbox is inserted). To it, a ring needs to be welded through a plate so that the gearbox stands exactly in place!

After cutting off all excess from the lid and roughly measuring everything, if possible, better do this on a milling machine!
Roughly measured sizes beforehand, cut to the necessary height so that the small ball of the gearbox is exactly at the ring level, neither higher nor lower!

Cut pieces of aluminum to cover remaining holes

Here's how it all should look approximately!

Everything is ready and I need to take this to an argon welder for welding!
Had to carry the box to properly align everything there and tack-weld it!
Then he welded everything thoroughly, as there's oil inside and it must not leak. Otherwise, it would sweat God forbid.

Here's the result!
After assembly, test for functionality! Everything works like a charm! Only left to install and fill with oil!

ready version of short box in 2 days

Welding cost me 800r
Metal ring 250r
Teflon rings 250r
Gearbox 2500r (but it was ordered for a short box, so I didn't include it into expenses)
RESULT: 1300r - think that's fair! On reshipping the box, I would have lost about 3000r
