The most important thing is that there are three different engine versions depending on the year of manufacture and where it was installed. For example, those from the 40th and 60th body models are very different!

It's best to choose by sample in the store.

And for these pistons piston rings were selected «Nippon Piston Ring (NPR)» SWT10076ZZ100.

Following COSSMASS advice and experience, I purchased a gasket Head Gasket «Victor Reinz» 615220100.

And original oil scraper rings «Toyota» 90913-02110.

Next were bought original intake valves «Toyota» 13711-35051 and original exhaust valves «Toyota» 13715-35020. Unfortunately, there are no photos.

Also, original valve guides «Toyota» 11122-38021.

Original intake valve seats «Toyota» 11131-35011 and original exhaust valve seats «Toyota» 11135-35020.

But bearing shells were another story. As the original bearings were not expensive, I decided to order them. However, there was no availability of main bearings; either one or the other. So, I had to look at alternatives. My choice landed on main bearings «Taiho» M011HSTD. But original connecting rod bearings «Toyota» 13041-35030B0 were available.

There is however one 'but'. In the «Taiho» package, there was a full set of five main bearing shells for the crankshaft. However, in the «Toyota» package, there was just one bearing shell per journal instead of four. Additionally, inside the «Toyota» packaging lay bearings from «Taiho» (visible on the photo). The «Taiho» bearings are also made in Japan and according to my knowledge, they are installed factory-fresh on many Japanese cars. Until now I always tried to purchase original parts when prices were reasonable, but moving forward I will be more careful.

Bought original valve spring retainer rings «Toyota» 11011-35011.

You won't believe it but again inside was the brand «Taiho».
