Enhancing Tachometer Signal After Engine Replacement in Toyota Mark II

I think this post will be useful for many people. After swapping the distributor from 1g-fe to 1jz-vvti, the tacho wouldn't work at all. Forums scream about adding resistors, soldering something into the instrument cluster and so on, but that only works for optitron and electronic instrument clusters. I wanted to start a needle gauge speedometer on a cable instrument cluster, which I managed to do with some effort, and didn't want to involve an electronic sensor under the same optitron as it wouldn't fit perfectly anyway. The last option was to switch to an electric instrument panel, where I knew for sure how to solve the tacho problem. But one good person named Alexander helped me; in general, you need to strengthen the signal going into the tachometer instead of weakening it with resistors.
