Sometimes it is necessary to assemble a temporary exhaust system.
For example, just to start the car and drive around for engine testing.
If the old exhaust fell apart during disassembly, or we doubt the catalytic converter's efficiency, or we follow the principle of 'No rusty parts in assembly!', then one can use large-diameter stainless steel pipe without spending much money.
It is very easy to give it the necessary shape; it is light and also resistant to temperature and exhaust toxicity.
To connect such a pipe, you need an adapter flange, onto which the stainless steel fits snugly and is secured with an appropriate clamp.
Also, high-temperature sealant and a temporary square gasket made of non-flammable material will be useful.
