A film is glued under the door map in each car. It is necessary for moisture isolation. If it is damaged or missing at all — it needs to be restored.

To do this, we completely remove the old film and leftover sealant from the door – you can use a simple degreaser (Kalosha gasoline). Probably, you will also have to disassemble the internal handle of the door lock (and on 'coupes' additionally remove the sliding lock mechanism Lock/Unlock):

Then we acquire this or an equivalent thin double-sided tape (this option suits us both in thickness – about 1 mm – and in width):

Attention, important point!

We definitely find corresponding grooves in the metal body for sealant and glue our tape along them exactly (green stripe on the photo):

Then we press a previously cut piece of polyethylene to the exposed upper adhesive layer of the tape:

Next, we reinstall the internal door lock handle, sliding lock Lock/Unlock, release wires, etc. back into place over the polyethylene.
