Polishing Chrome Details on Toyota Mark II (30/40)

The question arises — how to restore at least some of the former shine to plastic chrome parts.
They were in such condition

In the end, after trying all available polishing materials, including for chrome, I found an internet method: polishing with chocolate foil! Decided to give it a try. I was satisfied with the result, and it takes very little time without scratching anything.

After this, to reinforce the result, I polished with some chrome polish and put the "glasses" on the shelf to wait for their hour.
