Air Conditioner Cleaning

With time and frequent use of the car's air conditioner, a musty smell begins to appear. The reason for this is that over time, condensation produced by the operation of the air conditioner leads to contamination of the evaporator. The smell arises because in this environment various microorganisms thrive happily. Breathing such air is unpleasant and even harmful.
Therefore, it's necessary to perform an air conditioning cleaning procedure.
This is what I did on the weekend
All of this can be done quite quickly by oneself if there is a bridge or pit nearby.

We buy special foam for cleaning the air conditioner from any car store. Such cans cost around 300-500 rubles on average.

Underneath the vehicle, we find the tube through which condensate flows out. In my case, it's right next to the engine shield.

By the way, be careful: there is an exhaust pipe nearby and a rather hot longitudinal member! It's better to wait until they cool down if you have time.

We insert the tube from the can as deep as possible — in my case, the tube has a bend, so I had to work a bit.

Then we pour all the contents of the canister into it and wait 10 minutes.
After foam does its job, it will leak out through the same tube in liquid form.
We then start the car, turn on the air conditioner to maximum, close all deflectors except for the front center ones, and leave for about 15 more minutes.
Then that's it, the operation is complete.

Now there's a pleasant smell of artificial Christmas tree in the cabin)
