We remove only the glove box and unscrew the connections of the block, then we remove the air duct from the passenger side, but we do not touch the console as it will all be accessible anyway. Don't forget to disconnect the tubes under the hood near the radiator of the conditioner.
We get such an opening. Cut as straight and even as possible so there are no gaps later

You need to roughly understand how much to cut the filter, estimate by the hole in the heater block and cut the filter accordingly.

From the part of the filter that will remain, we remove the filtering part and cut it at the corners because they will be useful to us.

We need them to make angle pieces for the guide rails of the filter. You can use other ones, but these seem appropriate.

We make angles out of the side parts of the filter housing that will serve as guides. We measure, adjust and remove one side...in the end we get such angles
Then we degrease, were not prepared and went with whatever tools were at hand
