Now it's time to tell about the specifics of installing our struts on a car.
First, we adjust all coilovers to approximately the same length and proceed with installation. To install the front struts, you need to drill 3 new holes in the cup. There are even indentations marked for this purpose, but one bolt doesn't fit and you have to slightly modify the hole, but overall it's quite simple. Next, we attach the upper mount and boot to the spindle, screw on the caliper, install the brake hose — the front is ready.

With the rear, it's a bit more complicated. The issue is that two bolts with nuts from the top mount of the Silvia strut don't fit into the hole in the cup, for this you need to slightly enlarge the mounting area, after which everything fits perfectly as needed. Then we make necessary height adjustments and put on the wheels. Clearance still needs to be determined. Of course, it's desirable to lower the car as much as possible, but our road conditions do not allow excessive lowering of the vehicle, plus with wide tires they might hit the fenders, so a narrower tire is needed, especially in the rear where we have 255mm wide tires. Additionally, there are limitations on stock control arm adjustments; i.e., toe can be adjusted at the front using the upper mount since it has the necessary adjustments, but with the rear, it's more complicated — if lowered too much, the stock control arm might not provide enough adjustment to set the correct camber, so we have limitations and need to modify suspension arms with proper camber, caster, and toe adjustments.

Everything was installed perfectly, and you can see the final result below. Now all that remains is to make stabilizer struts and spacers between the spindle and strut, to prevent the steering tie rods from bending — but more about this in the next episode!
