════════════Frequently Asked Question════════════
Hello!
I continue to share my experience with modifications, specifically about how I implemented this very useful feature on my Chaser without unnecessary words!
Initially, the car came with pre-facelift lighting, and there was no turn signal illumination.
In the facelift headlight, a lamp with two filaments of 5/21V is installed and has a connector with four wires. However, in the original wiring harness on the vehicle, only three wires are present for connecting the sidelight and blinker repeater.

I laid out a power wire from each sidelight to the cabin and began studying the car's schematics.
Found the mentioned in the book switch connector on the steering column, but there were no required contacts - the slots were empty!

Thus, two options emerged: find completely new under-the-horn switches with the necessary turn signal illumination contacts or somehow come up with a solution using what I had. The first option is correct since it's already designed by Japanese engineers, but I found it too troublesome. After some thought, I decided to create a simple circuit from available components!

The idea was to take the blinker signals and control relays that would provide non-blinking signals for turn signal illumination.
Capacitors 1000µF/25V, diodes 31DF6 (600V/3A), miniature relays with a 10A capacity (12V coil).

Mounted everything on a protoboard, covered it in varnish to prevent oxidation and encased the board in heat shrink tubing. Mounted near the relay block, by the driver's feet. The setup turned out quite compact; unfortunately, no photos were taken!
During operation, one drawback was identified - with both sidelights and ignition on, if you turn on emergency flashers, both turn signal lamps illuminate! Otherwise, all electrical equipment works normally.
I am very pleased with the result of my work! Especially helpful while driving through poorly lit streets in residential areas!
And a little video showing the operation of the turn signal illumination
Thank you for your attention!
