For each light, there are two rubber rings. The outer one that is visible and an internal gasket between the colored plastic and the body.

Yes, it's made crudely, but the material is chosen correctly, not too thick and compresses under pressure. Such a thing can be made yourself from adhesive insulation for thermal-acoustic insulation.

The outer rubber ring is superbly thought out and made very well, and there comes with an installation guide.

I trimmed the rubber in these places so that it fits better

Despite being wider than the original factory rubber, it performs its function better. It covers the flaws of the chrome mold and seals the fit of the light to the body.

However, when installing the first lamp for some reason I ignored the instructions and decided to hold the rubber temporarily with adhesive. I quickly regretted this because I couldn't fix it, as the leftover adhesive doesn’t come off the rubber.
As always, a bit of jury-rigging that is easily removable. To make the turn signal brighter, I made an internal liner from white insulation material. The result is shown in the main photo where the left turn signal is brighter.
